How To Put iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in DFU Mode

Apple recently launched iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and they are IP67 Water and Splash resistant so for this purpose they had to seal those loopholes from where water could enter in the phone. So one of the major loophole was the home button so Apple decided to make it in the screen and now it is not clickable or press able, it is basically a pressure sensitive button and works when a user applies pressure on it which results in making the phone detect it was a click also we can set the pressure on which phone detects it as a click, It works on the same principle as 3D Touch.

Now you guys might be wondering how one can go in DFU mode if somebody wants to restore their iPhone or it’s stuck in recovery mode as obviously home button is not clickable anymore.

Apple has changed the DFU mode pattern and they have used Volume Down instead of Home Button.

So the previous method to go in DFU Mode was to Press Power button for 3 Seconds then simultaneously press home button with it for 10 seconds then let go Power button and keep the home button pressed for another 5 seconds and viola you are in DFU mode but now Apple has replaced Home button with Volume Down button so here is the correct method to put your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in DFU Mode.

Step By Step Guide:

- Press Power Button on the right side of phone for 3 seconds.

- Now after pressing Power button for 3 seconds press Volume down button on the left side of the phone without letting go power button and keep both buttons pressed for 10 seconds

- After 10 seconds keep the Volume down Button pressed but let go the Power button and keep holding the Volume down button for like 5 seconds and leave it.

- Voila if you see black screen and phone is detected in your PC or Mac it means you are in DFU mode and you have followed the procedure correctly.

I hope it helps
